Programming And Conditioning
As I look around to see children play without regard as to the follies of life, a single stark thought always emerges, all of the kids that I am seeing were programmed and conditioned to be what, who and how they are, with a few exceptions:
- They don’t know what hate is.
- They don’t know what racism is.
- They have no idea how deeply politics/politicians are trying to destroy their lives.
Depending on where they grow up and the conditions they grow up in, a lot of what is programed (taught to them by their parents) into them and then they are conditioned to believe that the programming is the gospel.
Let’s take the case of the young student of yesteryear. They were sent to school with a lunchbox, schoolbooks, etc. As they grow up, they have been taught that they must always take their lunchbox and supplies to school, only now, it’s a briefcase and some of the same supplies that they would have taken to school.
They were programmed and conditioned to believe that this is the way it must be.
A classic case study is that of the elephant that is tied to a tree.
The elephant was told to “stay there” by it’s owners, a rope placed around it’s ankle and tied to a tree.
As the years pass by, the rope is removed, but the elephant does not walk away, having been programmed and conditioned to believe that the life it is living is that of the gospel.
