My father once said to me in 1968 “There’s big bucks in smog.”

In the years since, I have watched countless talking heads bark from the rooftops about how the polar ice caps are going to melt, meaning the planet would stop functioning and we would all die. Then it was the oceans were going to dry up and… You guessed it, we were all going to die.

It’s a known fact that the “climate” or “weather” changes on a minute-by-minute basis and there is nothing anybody can do about that. It is also a know fact – as of 1947 – that at one point in this planets time of existence that there was a polar ice snap, meaning that the two magnetic fields that keep our planet upright so to speak crossed paths or shifted causing absolute devastation to all living creatures on earth.

Once again, we are being lambasted by the talking heads telling us “how dare you,” etc. The one constant or general theme that is repeatedly used in speech is that we must spend trillions of dollars to make it all go away, resulting in an every so neon green, lush planet.

The reality is that we will spend the trillions of dollars over a course of ten years resulting in a “maybe” 0.001 degree temperature difference over the course of the next one-hundred years. Of course, this does not account for the fact that in 100 years, there will be another 100 billion people – consumers, trash producing people – on this planet.

This also, of course, does not account for the fact that the barking heads, living in 10,000sq mansions, will need to have private limo service to the private jets that will whisk them away to their meeting place so they are able to give us another speech about how us poor folks that produce one tenth of the amount of trash, consume one tenth the amount of electricity, etc must limit the amount of our consumption.

So what is the answer to all of this? It is an answer that nobody wants to hear, most certainly would not talk about and most certainly, nobody would dare to suggest actually become a reality.

It is a not so simple, yet very simple answer. Stop consuming.

If we were to take all of the billions of servers that are needed to pump out the data to the devices, – just like the one that you are using right now to read this post – place them on a rocket ship and send them off on their glorious journey to the sun. Yes the sun. Where they would burn-up in a fireball that would make the likes of George Goble shed a tear.

That would be the first step. The second step would be to take 90% of all cars and do the same thing – send them to the sun.

Next up would be to take all of the plastic and turn that into fuel that could be used to power the mopeds that we would all so proudly own. A fellow in Japan has already proven that it is possible and demonstrated that the process leaves nothing behind to dispose of.

After that, nuclear waste. There are uncountable tons of nuclear waste that is burred in the ground and a lot more floating around in the air than we want to admit.

Last, but not least, limit the 100’s of thousands of airplanes that are in the air at any one point in time.

It is only then will we as a population understand the impact of these steps would have on out planet, as well, it is only then would a society be able to have neighbors being neighbors again, small gardens in the home and a lot less hate driven by politics.

If you read the list of forecasters and scientist below, it’s not hard to paint the picture of a trend that a news paper or media outlet and world governments would shine with glee to push a narrative so great that none would be the wiser. The result is always the same. Higher taxes.

• 2010 – What Global Warming Looks Like. It was more than 5°C (about 10°F) warmer than climatology in the eastern European region including Moscow. There was an area in eastern Asia that was similarly unusually hot. The eastern part of the United States was unusually warm, although not to the degree of the hot spots in Eurasia.
